Tanner, whose former name was Oakroot, is the seventh Wolfrider chief and the one who invented leathermaking for the elves. The son of Freefoot and Starflower, he ruled for 800 years and didn't recognize until he was quite old. His lifemate Stormlight was quite young and their personalities clashed, often making life difficult for their daughter Goodtree. Besides leatherworks, Tanner had a special affinity for animals same as his forefather Prey-Pacer.
